The Josh Johnson Memorial Scholarship
Our Why

Josh Johnson was more than a gifted athlete and outstanding student; he was a devoted Christian, compassionate leader, and a true friend who treated everyone with respect and love. Known for his radiant smile, uplifting words, and unforgettable hugs, Josh had an incredible way of making people , those young, old and in between, feel valued.

Josh cherished being part of the Kingsville community, actively participating in Boy Scouts of America, 4H, and his church youth program. His dedication and hard work were evident when his 4H poultry project earned the title of Grand Champion Chickens at the Kenedy Kleberg County Show.

To honor Josh's memory and preserve his legacy of citizenship, community, and faith, we established the Josh Johnson Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship celebrates students who embody Josh’s values—passion for faith, family, and friends, along with a steadfast commitment to church, community, and academic excellence.
